Biography: Elizabeth Boeser graduated from DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis, MN. She began her undergraduate degree at Hamline University and finished at the University of Minnesota with a Master of Education and a teaching license in Communication Arts and Literature for grades five through twelve. Her teaching career began at Jefferson High School in 2003. She has taught several courses over the years, including TV Production, College Writing, Intro to Creative Writing, Advanced to Creative Writing, Public Speaking, English 10, and Teen Literature, as well as English 9 and English 12 during summer school. Miss Boeser is a Teaching Consultant for the Minnesota Writing Project. She was a semifinalist for the 2009 Minnesota Teacher of the Year. She has also received the 2009 NCTE Teacher of Excellence award from the Minnesota Council for Teachers of English affiliate. In her free time she likes to put away the books, papers and computers and get a breath of fresh air while hiking a Minnesota State Park or exploring one of the many bike trails in the Twin Cities.
