Secondary Mathematics

The purpose of mathematics education is to develop mathematically literate students who possess critical thinking skills and the ability to apply the principles of mathematics and technology in making decisions and solving complex problems.

The Introduction to the Mathematics Curriculum Guide for Middle School and High School provide an overview of the Secondary Mathematics programs in Bloomington Public Schools. The Expanded 9-12 Curriculum Guide provides more detailed information on the alignment between Bloomington's instructional materials and the Minnesota State Standards for High School.
