Elements is a self-contained classroom-based program designed to meet the unique educational and social/emotional needs of gifted children in grades 2-3 who have exceptional academic skills. Open enrollment option is available to students who do not live within the city of Bloomington.
The goal of the Elements program is to serve primary students whose outstanding academic talent, advanced motivation, performance (or potential for performance) at high levels of accomplishment indicate their need for in-depth, complex and rigorous curriculum and instruction.

The Elements program employs a curriculum that is specifically designed to respond to gifted learners' characteristics of precocity, intensity and complexity. In combination with accelerated Bloomington Public Schools' units of study and units of study from the College of William and Mary's Integrated Curriculum Model (ICM), all students meet and exceed state and local standards.
