Elements Placement Criteria

Data Required for Application

Every applicant must have a minimum of three pieces of data for consideration into the gifted programs.

       1.  Ability Measure (CogAT, IQ, OLSAT, etc)
       2. Achievement Measure (MAP, NWEA, ITBS, etc.)
       3. Teacher Recommendation Form

Tiered Placement

Tier 1:  Highly qualified Bloomington students
Tier 2:  Highly qualified out-of-district students
Tier 3:  Qualified Bloomington students
Tier 4:  Qualified out-of-district students

Each applicant's data will be entered into a profile form. Points will be awarded based on the strength of the data. For example, test scores that fall in Tiers 1 & 2 will earn more points than test scores that fall in Tiers 3 & 4.
