Bloomington Public Schools celebrates Community Education Day with free activities
Join in celebrating National Community Education Day on Thursday, Nov. 14, recognizing the impact of lifelong learning and the incredible programs that help bring communities closer together.
Bloomington Community Education is hosting an afternoon of free activities at the Kennedy Activity Center on Nov. 14 from 3:30-5 p.m. Families can participate in basketball, pickleball, badminton and archery. Play is free and open to the public. Participants should bring their own equipment. Only archery equipment, badminton rackets and birdies, and nets for badminton and pickleball will be provided.
Other ways to get involved:
- Free Open Swim on Saturday, Nov. 9 from noon to 1 p.m. at Valley View Middle School.
- Participate in one of our programs or classes this month.
- Share your Community Education experiences with us on social media.
- Spread the word to friends and family about the importance of Community Education.
At Bloomington Community Education, we are proud to be part of this national effort to promote education beyond the classroom. Community Education thrives because of our learners, volunteers, and supporters. Together, we can continue to create an engaged, vibrant community that values education for all.
