Volunteer Opportunities

Academic Tutoring arranged to fit your schedule


Classroom Assistant: Assist teachers in the classroom by working with students one on one or in small groups with reading or math.

Homework Connection: Help students with homework, math facts and literacy activities after school at elementary & middle school buildings.

Family Homework Connection at Oxboro Library: Assist students with homework on Tuesdays 5:30-7:30 PM in the Oxboro Library community room.

Westwood Reading Buddy: Meet with students one on one weekly to work on reading skills while building a positive student adult relationship.

Valley View Rocking Reader: Read one on one to five Kindergarten students each week.

ESL tutors: Work with students who need assistance with spoken and written English. Knowledge of a foreign language is not required.

Basic Skills Tutor: Reinforce academic learning, review homework assignments and help develop study and organizational skills. Meeting during the school day or after school.

Hope For Tomorrow Mentor: Mentors spend one morning a month, October through May, guiding selected students from Oak Grove Middle School and Valley View Middle School in activities to develop confidence and explore opportunities for a successful future.
