Chalk Talk is an e-newsletter for Bloomington Public Schools families and community members. Chalk Talk is sent via email the second Thursday of each month with updates from the superintendent, news, photos and videos of the great things happening in BPS.
BPS parents are automatically subscribed.
The Inside Page is a weekly staff e-newsletter about district-wide news and events distributed via district email each Tuesday. We want to hear from you! Staff are welcome to ask questions about the information they read or provide suggestions for future articles. Submit your comments to commrelations@isd271.org.
We use a mass notification system to send outreach and emergency messages to our families and staff. Families must keep their contact information and preferences updated in Infinite Campus to receive school and district communications.
Staff members can update their contact information and preferences in Skyward.
Peachjar is an electronic flyer management system we use to distribute e-flyers every Wednesday, allowing our schools to eliminate paper flyers distributed via take-home folders. Digital flyers are emailed directly to parents each week and posted to each school's Peachjar page.
The Community Relations team maintains the district's social media channels and provides guidelines for all district, school and program-affiliated social media accounts.
Our website is one of our greatest communication tools to reach current and prospective families. Feedback on the website can be directed to commrelations@isd271.org.
