Payment Options

PayPAMS

Credit card payments (VISA, Discover or Mastercard) can be made by logging onto PayPAMS. This is a secure online way for parents/guardians to manage their children's school meal accounts. With PayPAMS you can:

  • prepay your children's school meals online.
  • view student account balances online.
  • view daily activity for your children's account.
  • view account payment history online.
  • schedule automatic balance-triggered payments.
  • set up automated email notification on balance status.
  • set up automated confirmation on balance-triggered payments.
  • choose VISA, Discover, Mastercard or debits cards.

Payments received by 9 a.m. are usually available in the student's meal account the same day.

To sign up and learn more about the program, visit the PayPAMS website.  Contact the Food Service Office with any questions at 952-681-6570.

Cash or Check

Meal payments by cash or check can be made at each school or at the district Food Service Office. When making one payment for multiple children at different schools, it must be sent to the district Food Service office with an order form.

Educational Services Center
Food Services
1350 W. 106th St.
Bloomington, MN 55431

Checks should be made payable to ISD #271, with the student's full legal name in the memo.

Cash should be in an envelope with the student's full name and address on it. Cash payments can be made at meal time. In elementary schools, cash must be deposited before school starts. We encourage prepayment, as this speeds up the meal line.

Balance Information

Your child can ask for their balance as they go through the breakfast or lunch line. A home record of payments and meals consumed can be recorded on the lunch menu or a calendar. The balance is also available by calling the Food Service Office at 952-681-6570 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. or by registering with PayPAMS.

All balances left at the end of a school year will be forwarded to your child's account the following school year, even if the student changes to a new school building. Any balance owed from the previous year will be deducted with the first payment. No cash refunds are given at schools. At the end of the school year, balances may be left in student accounts or a check refund requested through June from the Food Service Office. Money left in a graduate's account will automatically be transferred to a sibling's account with the same last name.
