An intra-district transfer allows students who live in Bloomington to request attendance at a school other than their neighborhood school.
Students who reside outside the city of Bloomington must complete the open enrollment process.
Students who qualify for Gifted and Talented programs do not need to follow the intra-district transfer process. Transfers into Gifted Programs are handled internally.
Requesting an Intra-District Transfer
The period for requesting an intra-district transfer for the 2024-25 school year closed on Nov. 30, 2023. If you were not able to request an intra-district transfer during the November window, please contact your attendance area school.
The period for requesting an intra-district transfer for the 2025-26 school year will open on Nov. 1, 2024. Please check back here for the online application.
