An intra-district transfer allows students who live in Bloomington to request attendance at a school other than their neighborhood school.
Students who reside outside the city of Bloomington must complete the open enrollment process.
Students interested in the Gifted and Talented and Computer Science programs do not need to submit an intra-district transfer request. Transfers into these programs are managed by the individual departments, and placement is based on program capacity and available space.
Requesting an Intra-District Transfer
The window for 2026-27 intra-district transfers closed on Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. No additional applications will be accepted at this time. Families wishing to request a transfer may contact our enrollment team to be placed on a waitlist. All transfer requests submitted during the open window must be approved before any exceptions are considered.
Notifications regarding intra-district transfer requests submitted during the window will be sent via email by the end of the day Friday, December 19.
