Open enrollment is available into all Bloomington gifted programs. We welcome qualified students from outside the Bloomington school district to be considered for any program level from grade 2 through 10. District candidates (students currently attending a Bloomington Public School) do have preference over out of district candidates.
The Gifted and Talented department will consider all BPS students for potential placement in gifted programs. Bloomington families do not need to do anything for their student(s) to be considered. Out-of-district families should nominate their child using the links below.
If a student's data does not hit our target, but there is evidence that advanced programming may be needed, anyone can submit a nomination form so that the GT Department can further consider that student for gifted programs.
Students who do not currently attend Bloomington Public Schools, but wish to be considered for a gifted program for next school year, must complete the nomination form and submit testing data and a teacher recommendation form. A link to the nomination forms and deadlines can be found below.
