Meet the Principal

My name is Don Gramenz and I’m so honored and excited to be the Principal of Hillcrest Community School.

The 2024-2025 school year marks my sixth year as the Principal at Hillcrest. Before coming to Hillcrest, I was an elementary teacher at Washburn Elementary School, a district-wide Q-comp peer coach, and a Dean of Students at Kennedy High School.  Prior to becoming a teacher in Bloomington, I was a professional soccer player for nine years and a professional soccer coach for two years.

I look forward to our continued collaboration with families, students, and the Hillcrest staff to create a nurturing learning environment so we all reach and perform at our full potential. 

My door is always open and I look forward to our partnership.
