Coach Larson is state girls tennis coach of the year

Jefferson High School girls tennis coach Lynn Larson has been named State Class AA Girls Tennis Coach of the Year by the Minnesota High School Coaches Association.

The honor is the latest in a list of accolades marking Larson’s final season as head coach of the girls tennis team, which includes being named Section 6AA Coach of the Year. Larson, a retired Jefferson math teacher, is retiring from coaching after 36 years in Bloomington. She plans to wrap up the school year as assistant coach for the boys team in the spring.

Larson will be recognized at the annual Minnesota High School Coaches Association banquet next October.
