Jefferson High School’s competition cheer team earned its seventh consecutive Game Day national championship at the 2026 UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship, held Feb. 6-8 in Orlando, FL.

The team competed against 43 other teams from across the country in the Small Varsity Game Day D1 Division competition. This is the team’s 10th national championship. Jefferson also competed in the Small Varsity D1 Division and finished third out of 113 teams.

“We pride ourselves on the culture of our program and I believe that played a big role in our success at Nationals this year and throughout our season. The leadership, accountability and work ethic of this team is the strongest it’s ever been. That showed all weekend," said head coach Taylor Mancini.

The Jefferson competition cheer team is coached by Mancini, Kelly Gerleve and Natalie Moran.
