Kennedy students explore their futures at College Fair

Kennedy High School hosted its annual College Fair for juniors and seniors on Nov. 5. More than 200 students attended the event to meet representatives from more than 50 Midwest colleges and universities.
Students had the opportunity to research fields to major in, college life, the application process, and related higher education topics. The college fair offers students an opportunity to explore a wide range of schools, including some they may not have previously considered, and discover colleges that may be a good fit for their interests and goals.
The fair comes shortly after College Knowledge Month. Many Minnesota state colleges and universities waive application fees during this time. Kennedy’s Career and College Center staff assisted seniors with the preparation, resources and support needed to successfully apply to college before the Nov. 1 early deadline.
Together, these efforts help students think broadly about their future pathways, support them in planning for their future, and realize their aspirations are within reach, according to school counselors.
