Bloomington Public Schools presents ‘High School Musical’
Bloomington Public Schools presents its summer community musical ‘High School Musical’ July 25-28 at Jefferson High School, 4001 W. 102nd St.
Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on the stage as Troy, Gabriella, and the students of East High deal with issues of first love, friends, and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities.
The production features a cast and crew of around 90 middle and high school students from BPS and other area schools, as well as recently graduated seniors. The show is directed by Laura Schmit, with musical direction by Niccole Jordan and Tyler Eliason, choreography by Natalie Thomas, set and lighting design by Mark Borchardt and Josh Fremder, and costumes by Laurie Clements.
Showtimes:
- July 25 at 10 a.m. - Senior preview show (tickets $5)
- July 26 at 7 p.m.
- July 27-28 at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults in advance, $12 at the door, $8 for seniors and students, and can be purchased by clicking here or at the door one hour before showtime. Come early to join in a karaoke singalong a half hour before each show starts!
