Bloomington Schools names new health services director

Dr. Lani Lovas, APRN-CNM, PHN, LSN, is Bloomington Public Schools’ new director of health services. Lovas has been a Licensed School Nurse (LSN) in the district since 2022, serving Jefferson High School and Westwood Elementary.

Dr. Lovas has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, as well as Master of Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from the University of Minnesota. Her experience serving PreK-12 students includes Eden Prairie Schools as an LSN, and as a school nurse and district COVID-19 coordinator in Bethlehem, NH before returning to Minnesota to join our team.

Dr. Lovas takes over for Jackie Johns, who is returning to a school-based role as LSN at Jefferson and Westwood.
