BPS boasts multiple top 10 finishes at state track meet

Four student athletes from Bloomington’s Jefferson and Kennedy high schools placed in the top 10 in Class AAA competitions at the State Track and Field meet at St. Michael-Albertville High School earlier this month.

Kennedy junior Daphne Such finished 4th in the girls pole vault clearing a height of 11 feet, tying her personal best vault from the conference meet earlier this year, which broke the school record. Senior AJ Wendlandt finished 8th in the boys long jump with a leap of 21 feet, 11 ¼ inches.

Jefferson senior David Schiller placed 6th in the boys discus with a throw of 160’ 3”, while junior Evan Feller finished 9th in the boys 100 meter dash with a time of 10.90 seconds.

Jefferson senior Ethan Ishaug also competed in the state meet in the boys pole vault clearing a personal best height of 13 feet.
