District wins national communication, digital excellence awards

District wins NSPRA awards

Bloomington Public Schools has earned top awards from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for communication and video production projects.

The district’s Community Relations team won a 2024 Golden Achievement Award for its special communication project, ‘Elevating K12 Computer Science,’ submitted in partnership with CEL Marketing PR Design. The award entry showcased the school district’s work to establish a reputation as Minnesota’s leader in K-12 computer science education and increase awareness about the benefits of computer science education.

Golden Achievement Awards recognize outstanding and strategic work in all aspects of school public relations, communication, marketing and engagement. The district’s award entry can be viewed here.

The district also won a 2024 Digital Media Excellence Award for ‘Let’s Be Honest: Tackling Youth Substance Abuse,’ which highlighted the impact of drugs and alcohol on teenage brain development, and the district’s efforts to address the issue.

BPS will be recognized for both awards in July during the NSPRA National Seminar in Seattle.
