ExCEL nominees named at Jefferson and Kennedy

Jefferson junior Andrew Larsen and Kennedy juniors Marlon Seahorn Jr. and Allison Sheehan are this year’s Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership (ExCEL) Award nominees.
Each year, high school juniors are recognized for their involvement in school activities, volunteer efforts and leadership qualities. Nominees are eligible for a statewide award in January.
Larsen participates in alpine ski, tennis, and marching band at Jefferson. He’s a member of the National Honor Society, Youth in Government, Pathfinders, and is a volunteer tennis coach for inner-city youth.
Seahorn is a two-time All State soccer player who led the state in goals scored this year in Class AAA. He volunteers with Bloomington Athletic Association Youth Soccer, and also plays basketball.
Sheehan participates in basketball, softball, and volleyball. She’s All Conference in basketball, a two-time team captain, and volunteers through tutoring, youth basketball camps and the Feed My Starving Children organization.
