Jefferson sophomore Nolan Hultgren had a solid showing at the Class AAA Boys State Golf Tournament earlier this month. He finished in a four-way tie for 36th place in the two-day, 36-hole tournament at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids.
After carding a 79 on the first day, leaving him tied for 52nd place, Hultgren moved up 16 spots after shooting an impressive 76 the next day, landing him in the top half of the field of 88 golfers.
Hultgren battled rain both days, a weather delay on day two, yet his performance remained steady, recording 26 pars over the two days, as well as one birdie.
