Jefferson, Kennedy students named National Merit finalists

Seven Bloomington high school seniors have been named finalists in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program: Jordan Thomson (Kennedy High School) and Katelynn Brandwick, Jillayne Clarke, Colden Longley, Christopher Melville, Charles Weismann and Henry Weismann (Jefferson High School) are candidates for a merit scholarship to be awarded this spring.

More than 1.6 million high school juniors entered the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which serves as an initial screen of program entrants. The nationwide pool of finalists includes the highest scoring entrants in each state.
