Jets are consolation champs at state adapted soccer tournament

The South Suburban Jets made their third consecutive appearance at the state adapted soccer tournament, held Nov. 14-15 in White Bear Lake. The team went 2-1 in the tournament and defeated the Buffalo-Monticello-STMA Coyotes to win the CI division consolation championship.

The team finished its season with a winning record of 9-3-2. Jefferson High School junior Jordan Cavness was selected to the TruStone Financial CI All-Tournament team.

The Jets varsity team includes student athletes from Jefferson and Kennedy high schools and Olson Middle School. The team is coached by Aaron Walton and Chris Tomberlin.
