Jefferson Theatre Company presents “Miracle on 34th Street” Dec. 1-4 in the Jefferson High School auditorium, 4001 W. 102nd St.

In this Christmas classic, a man who calls himself Kris Kringle fills in for Santa Claus at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and insists he’s the real Santa. With many skeptics questioning his claim, Kringle goes to court to try to prove he is indeed Santa Claus. The play is based on the 1947 movie.

The show features 46 students as cast and crew under the direction of Laura Schmit, with sets and lighting design by Roger Skophammer and costumes by Laurie Clements

Showtimes are Dec. 1-3 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 3-4 at 1 p.m., with a senior special performance Nov. 30 at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students and are available at showtix4u.com/event-details/68968 or at the door one hour prior to each performance.

An Arts for Hearts donation drive will be held at each performance benefitting VEAP. Donations of size 5-7 diapers and diaper wipes will be accepted at each show
