Prowess in Visual Art Earns Bloomington Students High Ratings

Jefferson and Kennedy high school students earned high ratings in the 2022 Minnesota State (MSHSL) Visual Arts exhibition, featuring highlighted artwork of winners from sectional festivals.

Jefferson and Kennedy high school students earned high ratings in the 2022 Minnesota State (MSHSL) Visual Arts exhibition, featuring highlighted artwork of winners from sectional festivals.

Students receiving a Superior rating are Kennedy students Emmy Christiansen, Thora Jensen and Ava Taylor; and Jefferson students Synnove Erickson, Niamh Kepfmann-Mcloughlin, Emma Martens, Keaton Mayhew, Isak Sevig, Lynzie Solin, Nyla Truzy, Connor Wigglesworth, Crow Wilkins and Caroline Yue.

Students receiving an Excellent rating are Kennedy’s Jane Hawkins and Piper Kettunen; and Jefferson’s Sydney Ouellette, Renee Peacha, Grace Phan, and Allison Wolfe.

Artists receiving a ‘Superior’ rating were judged on precise knowledge of art, making choices to expand artwork and creative expression with synthesized use. Artists receiving an ‘Excellent’ rating were judged on accurate knowledge of art, making choices based on evidence and creative expression with crafted use.
