The School Board held its regular business meeting on Monday, March 23, 2026.
Meeting Highlights
- Approved revisions to several policies regarding school meals, budgeting processes and school district finances.
- Approved a new Achievement and Integration (A&I) Plan. The A&I program was established to help close the state’s academic achievement gap and increase integration opportunities for students. BPS’s 2026-29 plan aligns with our Strategic Plan and Comprehensive Assessment and Civic Readiness Plan.
- Approved an increase in some building reservation rates for the 2026-27 school year; and stadium and team room rental fees effective April 15. The adjustments are needed to address rising operational costs including staffing, utilities and maintenance.
- Accepted a $160,000 grant from MN Dept. of Education to enhance the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) pathway in Bloomington Career and College Academy (BCCA). The grant will be used to address staffing shortages in the regional EMS workforce by increasing access to industry-recognized credentials through the pathway.
