Bloomington Public Schools welcomes new administrative and school leaders for the 2026-27 school year:

Gust Abdalla is the principal of Valley View Middle School (VVM). He previously served as assistant principal at Prior Lake High School.

Kelsey Maynard, the former dean of students at Olson Middle School and interim assistant principal at Oak Grove and Valley View middle schools, is the new assistant principal at VVM.

Megan Willrett most recently served as an administrator on special assignment at the district level. She is now the new assistant principal at Valley View Elementary School.

Radious Guess is the interim director of the Office of Educational Equity (OEE). An accomplished equity leader, Guess previously worked with BPS and has also held roles with the University of Minnesota, the City of St. Louis Park and other local school districts.

Betsy Hawes and Cassie Mae are OEE’s elementary and secondary cultural proficiency coordinators. Hawes previously taught and served as a mentor at Oak Grove Elementary. Mae previously was an equity coordinator.
