Implementation of the district’s new student information system (SIS), Infinite Campus, has officially begun. The decision to move to Infinite Campus came after TIES announced its plan to sunset its student information system (TSIS) in 2015.
Following an analysis of top student information systems, the district chose to move to Infinite Campus student information system in summer 2016 because of the substantial feature improvements and cost savings.
The district will continue to use TSIS for the remainder of the 2015-16 school year, with an official move to Infinite Campus on July 5, 2016. District staff are working to solidify an implementation plan that includes a series of data conversion trials and a support plan for a smooth transition.
This transition from TIES will affect many aspects of the district’s systems and processes. We ask staff to remain flexible during this transition so we can ensure everyone gets the proper training and support before back to school 2016-17.
