Bloomington students featured in Congressional art competition

A number of Jefferson and Kennedy high school students will be featured in the Third Congressional District Art Competition now on display in the lobby at the Artistry Bloomington Center for the Arts. The exhibit runs through April 24.
Student works on exhibit include Jefferson’s Ingrid Koester, Kyle Thomson, Haley Pinette, Miranda Welte, Jordan Johnson, Marissa Anderson, Cheri Wang, Nicole Osinde, Anna Olson and Katie Weston and Kennedy’s Annika Palmquist​, Stephania Terkowski, Samantha Tarnowski, Emmaline Tarnowski, Emily Morse, Alana Harste, Jessica Jenkins, Maria Zavala, Makenzie Booth and Miranda Jones.
A closing reception will take place on Monday April 24, from 6-7:30 p.m., at the Artistry Bloomington Center for the Arts where competition winners will be announced. The grand prize winner and a guest will be invited to a Washington, D.C. reception, and the winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building next year.
