Korman named NEA Global Learning Fellow

Bloomington School Board member Nelly Korman has been named a National Education Association (NEA) Foundation Global Learning Fellow.

Korman, a Spanish Immersion teacher at St. Louis Park High School, is one of 48 educators selected from over 400 applicants across 47 states.

The cohort will participate in a two-day workshop in Washington, DC, this fall where they will hear from global competency leaders and experts and strengthen their peer-learning community.

Next summer, the group is scheduled to complete an international field study in South Africa to learn about the country’s culture and history, visit schools and interact with local educators, students, administrators and policy makers.

This year’s Fellows join more than 250 Global Learning Fellowship alumni, providing this year's class with a dynamic, growing peer learning community.
