Becky Wallerick, a counselor and Personal Growth Plan (PGP) coordinator at Jefferson High School, received an Educator of Excellence award for her use and advocacy of BestPrep classroom programs. She was one of 16 teachers to be recognized with the award.

“BestPrep’s programs are so valuable and merge seamlessly with our PGP goals to help our students research and prepare for their future education and career,” said Wallerick.

Wallerick uses BestPrep’s Classroom Plus and Financial Matters programs, which brings speakers from the business community into the classroom to educate students on topics including career options, teamwork, public speaking, writing a resume, and more. In the 2019-2020 school year, she brought speakers to over 200 students. She also volunteered for BestPrep’s Educational Forum fundraising event in October 2019.
