Jefferson, Kennedy Senior Achievement Award winners announced

Bloomington Public Schools has named 136 Jefferson and Kennedy high school seniors recipients of this year's Senior Achievement Awards. Students are honored in the following categories: 

• Academic excellence: The academic top 10 percent of this year's senior class
• Artistic excellence: Demonstrated talent in visual, literary and/or performing arts
• Curricular excellence: Exemplary performance in a particular academic discipline
• Leadership: Success in accomplishing goals by motivating and guiding others
• Volunteerism: Demonstrated commitment to volunteering in the community or schools

Students honored for academic excellence are eligible for an award in one additional category. 

Although we are unable to hold our traditional awards ceremony this year, Senior Achievement Award winners will be honored during each high school's virtual awards celebrations.

Senior Achievement Award winners are an impressive and talented group of students who have put in tremendous time and effort to achieve their goals. In an especially trying year, our students should be proud of all they've accomplished and the talents, skills and connections they've formed along the way.
