The Jefferson High School cheer team earned its sixth national championship title in the Small Varsity Division I Game Day competition at the 2022 UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando. It is also the team’s third consecutive national championship.

Jefferson competed against 24 other teams in the small varsity division. After placing first in a preliminary round, the team advanced directly to the final round, where they bested seven teams for the national title.

The Jaguars qualified for the national tournament following a first-place finish at the UCA Ten-Thousand Lakes Regional Competition in October. Jefferson has won national titles in 2021, 2020, 2018, 2017 and 2013, in addition to nine state titles.

The Jefferson cheer coach is Taylor Mancini.
