Kennedy soccer players earn All-State honors
Kennedy High School seniors Makenzie Kane (Left) and Isabella Lone (Right) were selected for the girls' Class AA all-state first team. Both midfielders made key contributions to the team's success with Kane scoring a team-high total of 14 goals and Lone making a team-high total of 11 assists.
Kennedy seniors Diego Perez (Left) and Santiago Singer (Right) were selected for the boys' all-state second team. Perez scored six goals and four assists while Singer scored 13 goals and four assists this season. Perez is also a finalist for Mr. Soccer Class AA, an award given to the top player in the class.
Senior Lizbeth Dominguez Castilo (Right) and sophomore Macie Miller (Left) were named to the Class AA all-tournament team after their performance in the quarter- and semi-finals of the state tournament.
Seniors Maisie Pederson (Left) and captain Ruthie Gyasi (Right) made the Class AA all-academic team for academic excellence and leadership on the field.
