District announces new principal assignments for 2023-24

Oak Grove Middle School Principal Brian Ingemann has accepted a one-year interim appointment to lead Ridgeview Elementary School for the 2023-24 school year. He will replace Carey Seeley Dzierzak who has accepted a principal position at Webster Elementary School in Minneapolis.

Oak Grove Middle School Assistant Principal Anne Graner and dean of students John Polhill have accepted assignments to serve as the OGM interim principal and assistant principal respectively for the 2023-24 school year.

Ingemann served six years as OGM assistant principal before becoming the principal in 2008. He previously taught sixth grade at Cannon Falls Elementary School and South View Middle School in Edina, and served as a dean of students in the Moundsview School District. Ingemann is also an adjunct professor at St. Mary’s University.

Ingemann holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and Minnesota State University Mankato respectively, and an educational administration degree from St. Mary’s University.

Graner joined OGM in 2019 and previously taught for four years and served as the school’s intervention support specialist. She’s held assistant principal positions at Winona Middle School and Prior Lake High School. Graner earned an undergraduate degree in education from the University of Portland, a graduate degree from Concordia University, and an education administration degree from the University of St. Thomas.

Polhill became the dean of students at OGM in 2019, and taught for four years at Westwood Elementary School. He previously held instructional positions in Chicago Public Schools. Polhill earned an undergraduate degree in education from the University of Illinois, and an educational leadership masters degree from Concordia University in River Forest, IL.
