I am excited to serve students and families as a fourth grade teacher at Olson Elementary! I began teaching in 1999 and have worked with learners of many ages—from kindergartners to college students. I graduated from the University of WI - Eau Claire, the University of MN, and Hamline University. Several years ago, I earned my EdD, which means I study how people learn! I live in Bloomington with my husband, Matt, and our daughters, Maureen and Evelyn. We share our home with an energetic rescue puppy named Clover who is a Yorkie, Chihuahua, Min-Pin, and so much more! When I have free time, I love to read, knit, bake, travel, and watch my daughters perform on stage.
Mathematics is the language of the universe and the science of patterns. My passion is providing experiences that help children develop deep mathematical thinking as well as a love for the utility and beauty of mathematics.
I look forward to working with you and your children!
