Meet the Principal

Welcome, Husky Families!

I am proud to serve the Oak Grove Middle community! The entire team of Oak Grove Middle teachers, administration and staff are committed to helping our students achieve their greatest potential.

I joined Oak Grove Middle School in 2002  and served as an assistant principal for seven years before becoming the principal in 2009. Prior to Bloomington, I was a dean of students at Chippewa Middle School in Mounds View, a 6th-grade teacher at South View Middle School in Edina, and a 6th-grade teacher at Cannon Falls Elementary in Cannon Falls. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Minnesota State Mankato, a master's degree in educational administration from St. Mary's University and an Educational Specialists Degree in Leadership from Minnesota State Mankato.

The school therapy dog, Radar, is an American Labrador from Sunshine Kennels in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. Radar spends time daily visiting students and staff and takes walks with students. Mr. Ingemann is Radar's trained handler and brings Radar to school each day to be with students.
