Meet the Principal

I am excited to be a part of the Bloomington School District as the principal of Oak Grove Middle School. Our Oak Grove staff is committed to the students and their families. It is our collective honor to teach the students and assure they achieve their goals and potential.

I originally joined Oak Grove Middle School as an 8th grade math teacher in 2009. After teaching, I became the dean of students at both Oak Grove and Valley View Middle Schools. I have served as the assistant principal at Winona Middle School in Winona, Minnesota and as assistant principal of Prior Lake High School. I returned to Oak Grove as assistant principal in 2019.  It is my honor to accept the principal role at Oak Grove, the very school I began my teaching journey.

I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Portland in Portland, Oregon. I was fortunate to play D1 women’s basketball in the West Coast Conference and subsequently was assistant coach/recruiter while beginning my master’s degree. I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota and an Educational Specialist degree and principals license at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.

When not at school, I can be found outdoors often hiking or spending time with family on the Mississippi River. I look forward to the future with Oak Grove’s staff, students, and families.
