Meet the Principal

Welcome, Husky Families!

I am proud to serve the Oak Grove Middle community! The entire team of Oak Grove Middle teachers, administration and staff are committed to helping our students achieve their greatest potential.

I served as assistant principal at Oak Grove Middle for seven years before becoming principal in 2002. Prior to Bloomington, I was a dean of students at Chippewa Middle School in Mounds View, a 6th grade teacher at South View Middle School in Edina, and a 6th grade teacher at Cannon Falls Elementary in Cannon Falls. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and hold masters degrees in curriculum and instruction and educational administration from Minnesota State Mankato and St. Mary's University respectively. I also have an educational specialist degree in leadership from Mankato.

The school therapy dog, Radar, is an American Labrador from Sunshine Kennels in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. Radar spends time daily visiting students and staff and takes walks with students. Mr. Ingemann is Radar's trained handler and brings Radar to school each day to be with students.
