OGMS Operation Property Return

Dear Families,

Please read carefully the following end-of-year plans to distribute your student’s personal property left at school, and the return of district property on loan to students during the stay-at-home order.

Your student’s personal property - jackets, footwear, and other items - have been placed in a bag and marked with their name and team number (e.g. 6-1, 6-2, etc.). If your student has medications left in the nurse’s office, they will be returned with their property.

The week of June 1-5 is designated for Operation Property Return. The exchange of student and district property will take place outside in our main parking lot and entrance area, which will allow for easy-in/easy-out traffic flow when you arrive. Staff will be assigned to assist you in the property exchange process. 

Each team has an assigned date and time for parents/students to return district property, including textbooks, library books, band instruments, and borrowed classroom materials. 

The return of district assigned Chromebooks, iPads, chargers, WiFi hotspots and other tech devices is voluntary. You are welcome to keep these devices over the summer or return them during Operation Property Return. 

Students/families that choose to walk/ride their bikes to school will be directed to the location for student and district property exchange. 

It is important to adhere to the assigned schedule for your student’s team by date and time. If you have multiple students attending Oak Grove Middle School please plan to pick-up/drop-off property on the date assigned to the oldest student by grade level. If you cannot make the assigned date and time for your student(s), please plan to exchange property on the grade level dates and times noted on the schedule. We have no other dates and times scheduled beyond June 5, so please make every effort to complete the property exchange during this time.
