Computer Science Immersion programs in BPS provide a deeper dive into computer science. The computer science Immersion program provides opportunities for students to learn computer science in the context of other subject areas, exemplifying computer science’s vast impact on all disciplines.
Olson offers the Dimensions Academy program for exceptionally gifted students.
Fusion is free after-school programming providing middle school students with experiences that support academic progress, social-emotional well-being, and a sense of belonging within the school community.
Programs are led by teachers. Students must sign up for Fusion programs through the teachers who offer them. Programs can be held between Sept. 16 and April 8, Monday - Thursday between 2:45-4:45 p.m. Some programs are offered one day a week for one hour, while others are more frequent or up to two hours. There is no general or daily programming.
Students who receive bus transportation can sign up to take the Activity Bus home after Fusion. Students who don’t receive bus transportation must be picked up or walk home after Fusion.
