Bloomington Public Schools maintains a firm policy prohibiting all forms of harassment and violence. Use this form to report issues relating to harassment and violence.
Building Security
In order to ensure the safety of all Poplar Bridge students and staff, anyone entering the building must report to the office to sign in. Visitors must wear a visitor badge while on school premises. The main entrance (north door) is the only door open during the school day.
Poplar Bridge is working to become a computer science immersion school that harnesses the power of computer science to master the Minnesota content standards while solving real world problems. We will integrate national computer science standards, a design thinking framework, and computational thinking skills, beginning in the 2019 school year.
ELA offers a quality extended-day preschool experience for three, four, and five year olds. Nurturing instructors provide a variety of learning opportunities that focus on social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Our teachers integrate elements of science, technology, engineering, art, and math across the curriculum. In addition we host two STEAM Activity Days each year to offer special opportunities to students. We value our partnerships with Richardson Nature Center, Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, and Science From Scientists.
All grade 5 students have the opportunity to participate in band and orchestra.
The focus of this program is to provide on-site child care and enrichment opportunities for students, before and after school hours. Students build friendships, independence, and confidence through a variety of activities. The staff facilitates a warm and secure environment for students. Kids’ SAFARI is a fee-based program that is open from 6:30 - 8:30 a.m. and 3 - 6 p.m.
