I am a graduate from the University of North Dakota with a double major in
Elementary Education and Psychology. My first teaching job was in Hastings, MN, in an Early Childhood Special Education classroom. I worked with children (ages 3-5) with a variety of physical and mental disabilities. I have teaching at Washburn Elementary School since 2001. While at Washburn, I have taught Title One, first grade, and I'm currently teaching second grade. In December 2005, I finished my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Thomas.
Personally, I got married in Playa del Carmen, Mexico in the fall of 2005. My husband, Paul, and I have been blessed with two healthy and happy children. Jackson and Jayda keep us busy and happy! We also have a dog named Kobi! In my spare time (which is hard to find with two kiddos), I like to work in my flower gardens, walk with my kids and dog, spend time at the lake, read, and watch sports (I'm especially fond of college hockey -- Go Sioux!)
Mission For The Class
To work hard, learn a lot, and most of all HAVE FUN!!
