I obtained my undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and my master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Northern Iowa. I began my career as a Speech-Language Pathologist working for a rehabilitation company servicing elderly patients in a skilled nuring facility. I then spent five years in a private practice clinical setting, primarily working with young children and adolescents. I started working in the Bloomington Public Schools in the fall of 2012. I am very happy to be here, as I completed Kindergarten through 12th grade in the Bloomington Schools! I have experience assessing and treating children with speech-language needs in a variety of areas, including receptive language, expressive language, articulation, voice, and stuttering. Communication is at the core of everything we do and speech-language skills are closely related to academic success.
I look forward to collaborating with families and staff, and to a great year of speech-language therapy with the students! Please feel free to contact me with questions, concerns, or any information you would like me to know about your child.
