Hour of Code Week

Published on Dec 19, 2019

Westwood celebrated Hour of Code Week December 9-13. All students had the opportunity to participate in at least one hour of coding and experiences. The purpose is to build interest, help students understand and value how things work, develop problem-solving skills, encourage creativity, learn to communicate, connect with real-world jobs and experiences, and have fun!  Students created superheroes, programmed Beebots, ozobots and WeDo Lego robotics. We created paper circuit holiday cards and Google logos! Thank you to our students and teachers for their enthusiasm and participation!
