2022 Minnesota Scholastic Arts Winners

Jefferson and Kennedy high school students earned high honors in the 2022 Minnesota Scholastic Arts Competition, considered the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious art recognition program for creative teens.

Gold Key artists’ works are automatically considered for national-level recognition, Silver Key artists’ works demonstrate exceptional ability and honorable mentions are for artists’ works that showed great skill and potential.

Gold Key award recipients are Kennedy’s Idil Hassan, Maryam Abdikarim and Emily Strahan; and Jefferson’s Isak Sevig, Synnove Erickson, Connor Wigglesworth, Keaton Mayhew and Joey Stedman.

Silver Key award recipients are Kennedy’s Julia Ohm, Talayah Stackhouse, Kenia Benitez-Sanchez, Peyton Baumgartner and Vy Nguyen; and Jefferson’s Grace Phan and Anja Urbanz.

Students receiving an honorable mention for their works include Kennedy’s Amanda Hallet, Taylor David, Tyler Jost and Brianna Dotter; and Jefferson’s Alaina Bannerman, Sydney Ouellette, Annette Flis and Caroline Yue.
