Bloomington students earn high honors in statewide art competition

Jefferson and Kennedy high school students earned high honors in the 2023 Minnesota Scholastic Arts Competition, considered the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious art recognition program for creative teens.

Jefferson and Kennedy high school students earned high honors in the 2023 Minnesota Scholastic Arts Competition, considered the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious art recognition program for creative teens.

Gold Key artists’ works are automatically considered for national-level recognition, Silver Key artists’ works demonstrate exceptional ability and honorable mentions are for artists’ works that showed great skill and potential.

Gold Key award recipients are Jefferson’s Aidan Arkley, Camille Camish, Mckenna Long, Scarlet Rundle and Connor Wigglesworth.

Silver Key award recipients are Jefferson’s Synnove Erickson, Grace Goodin, Renee Peacha, Darian Whittet and Allison Wolfe; and Kennedy’s Katie Campbell, Ka’Veaun Jones and Ling Schardin.

Students receiving an honorable mention for their works include Jefferson’s Delaney Mundt and Tysen Velner; and Kennedy’s Gisselle Dominguez, Zoe Johnson, Vy Nguyen and Noah Thornburg.
