Top ten finishers at state track and field meet

Five student athletes from Bloomington’s Jefferson and Kennedy high schools placed in the top 10 at the State Track and Field meet, held at St. Michael-Albertville High School June 8-10. 

In Class AA competition Kennedy senior Deshawna Neal placed third in the girls high jump clearing a height of 5 feet 5 inches to tie the school record. Senior Maisie Pederson placed third in the girls 400 meter dash with a time of 58.02. Sophomore Daphne Such placed eighth in the girls pole vault clearing a height of 10 feet. 

Jefferson competed in Class AAA with seniors Adam Lueth and Megan Lee finishing seventh and ninth in the boys and girls 3200 meter run respectively. Lueth finished with a time of 9:17.90 and Lee with a time of 11:01.51.

Kennedy sophomore Easton Keefe and junior Esosa Ogbebor and Jefferson junior David Schiller also competed in the state meet.
