Valley View Middle and Kennedy High Schools will have new members of their leadership teams when the new school year begins this fall.

Latiesha Bogar has accepted an administrator on special assignment role working as a student behavior specialist at Valley View Middle School. In her new role, Bogar will assist teachers and students using evidence-based behavioral supports to keep students on-task and focused on learning.

Bogar served the last school year as an assistant principal at Kennedy High School and led the Beacon Alternative Learning Program’s summer credit recovery program. Prior to working at Kenedy, Bogar was an assistant principal and licensed school counselor in Minneapolis Public Schools.

Bogar holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and K-12 administrator license from Concordia University-St. Paul and a school counseling license and license for clinical and mental health from Adler Graduate School.

Paul Collier is taking Bogar’s place as the new assistant principal at Kennedy High School. Collier is joining Bloomington Public Schools after serving the past three years as an elementary assistant principal in the Eagan-Apple Valley-Rosemount district.

Previously, Collier was a social worker for eight years in the Bloomington, Minneapolis and St. Paul school systems serving at the elementary, middle and high school levels.

Collier holds an undergraduate degree in fine arts from St. Cloud State University, a master's degree in clinical social work from the University of St. Thomas, an educational specialist in K-12 leadership degree, and superintendent license from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Collier is currently completing a doctoral degree in educational leadership.
