Governor Walz visits Oak Grove Elementary

Governor Tim Walz and Minnesota Department of Education Commissioner Willie Jett visited Oak Grove Elementary the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 5 as part of a day-long tour of school districts across the state. Bloomington School Board Chair Heather Starks joined Superintendent Dr. Eric Melbye and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jenna Mitchler, along with Oak Grove Elementary Principal Brian Cline and MN Rep. Nathan Coulter in welcoming our distinguished guests.

 

Following time greeting students, families and staff, Gov. Walz, Commissioner Jett and Dr. Melbye provided brief remarks to the media, then visited students in the lunchroom for morning breakfast.
