Bloomington Kennedy High School’s Angelica Mey won the bronze medal in humorous interpretation at the MSHSL Class AA State Speech tournament last weekend.

Mey, a sophomore, was one of eight finalists to advance from a group of 24 students in her category. Her hilarious performance of the play, "Sleepover From Hell" by J.A. MacAbee, secured her third-place finish. Mey acted as multiple characters who attend a birthday sleepover party that goes arwy.

Mey qualified for state by placing second at the 6AA section tournament on March 14.

The Bloomington speech team is coached by Scott Sieling.
