Meet the Principal

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our school and all the amazing things happening at OGE.

I am proud to serve our community as the principal of this great school. Oak Grove, home of the Eagles, boasts educational programming and activities as diverse as our student population. We provide a robust and well-rounded education that meets the needs of all our learners.

My leadership is rooted in relationships, innovation and growth. I come from a teaching background, having been a kindergarten, first, fourth and fifth grade teacher, intervention specialist and new teacher mentor in Washington D.C. and Bloomington. I received my M.Ed from Howard University and am National Board Certified in elementary literacy.

In collaboration with teachers, parents and students, we work hard to bring our mission statement to life: Oak Grove is a community working together to create a positive academic and social experience for all learners to SOAR (Success, Optimism, Accountability, Respect).

I encourage our staff and students to adhere to this motto: Be better tomorrow than you were today. We celebrate small accomplishments daily and are driven by the excitement of the growth yet to come.
