Help your middle school student improve their daily life/executive functioning skills, and take them from “I forgot” to a better train of thought. Parents and caregivers of middle school students are invited to attend a parent speaker series on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Valley View Middle School cafeteria, 8900 Portland Ave. S.

Featuring speaker Judy Bandy, R.N., M.A., founder of ADHD Life Skills, the session is designed with middle school students in mind, offering parenting tips to help your student improve their executive functioning skills - the life skills used to accomplish daily tasks. She’ll cover topics including initiating tasks, planning, problem solving, focus, completing work, organizing assignments and more.

Live interpreters will be available in Spanish and Somali during the event with headsets available.

The event is hosted by the Learning Supports team and supported in part by a City of Bloomington Thriving Communities Grant.

For those unable to attend, the session will be recorded and available online through BEC TV.
